Landmark Amendment: Recognition Restored to CPS Courses

The Government of Maharashtra has made a pivotal decision to restore recognition to 10 courses offered by the College of Physicians & Surgeons, Mumbai (CPS) under the Maharashtra Medical Council Act, 1965. This development signifies a substantial progression in the realm of medical education within the state, aiming to uphold and enhance the standards of healthcare provision.

CPS Mumbai, with its establishment dating back to 1912, holds a significant place in the domain of postgraduate medical education, offering a variety of specialized programs. The reinstatement of these courses, spanning to Medical specialities such as Medicine, Surgery, Dermatology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, and Child Health, represents a commitment to comprehensive and high-quality medical education.

The initiative for re-acknowledgment of these courses arises from a comprehensive understanding of their importance to both the medical community and the overall healthcare infrastructure. Dr. Ajay D.
